*Please arrive by the time above. We've allowed plenty of time for students to change into their exam leotard when they arrive and warm up before the exam.
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Students may arrive in street clothes as they will change into their exam leotard on arrival.
You will need:
- water bottle
- hair brush, comb & spray
- optional: light snack
EXAM HAIR:
Girls require a ballet bun for exams. A how-to video will be added on this page in 2023. Our teachers are happy to help with hair on the day. Please bring the required hair pins and nets or purchase a bun kit through our shop. A hair ribbon will be added when you arrive at your exam.
EXAMINER:
Our examiner's name is Ms Stratton-Smith. The students will need to say 'Good morning / Good afternoon Ms Stratton-Smith' at the start of their exam and 'Thank you Ms Stratton-Smith' at the end standing with their feet in first position and arms either holding their skirt (Kindy & Yr 1) or in bras bar (Yr 2 +). We'll be practicing in class but a little practice at home always helps too!
DO PARENTS STAY FOR EXAMS?
This is completely up to you. Most parents drop their child off at the time above and collect them after the exam but if you'd like to stay and help your child change into their exam leotard and then either stay in the small studio while your child goes into their exam or come back afterwards you're most welcome to. We will take group and individual photos of all students and will send them through to you on the day.
